If you are in need of specific attention to your body, consider a bodywork treatment that addresses your personalized healing needs.
“I had suffered for 18 months with a debilitating plantar fasciitis in my left foot that, after a single 90 minute treatment upon Lara's table, Lara was able to release completely to the point where I got off her table able to walk pain free! Gratitude!”
– Jade Wah'oo Grigori, Sedona, AZ
“I would strongly recommend Lara's clinical, logical, intuitive, yet very anatomical based approach to finding solutions to physical problems.
– Hugh Gilbert, Physical Therapist, Calgary
Structural bodywork specifically addresses the body’s alignment and areas of restricted movement.
A structural bodywork session with Lara combines the appropriate blend of specific connective tissue modalities such as structural integration techniques, Myofascial Release, Visceral Manual therapy, and Craniosacral to best serve your needs.
This very effective hands-on technique applies sustained pressure to fascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Fascia is the uninterrupted network of connective tissue in the body. It surrounds every muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel and organ of the body, all the way down to the cellular level. When the fascia is injured or compromised it can cause a myriad of common ailments and pain.
This holistic approach looks beyond the symptoms and regards the body in its entirety by focusing on the cause. Only when the cause is addressed, can true healing occur. Myofascial Release is very beneficial for the treatment of injuries, stiffness, scar tissue, digestive disorders and compromised posture. Nothing is more relaxing then regaining balance and ease from within.
Visceral Manual Therapy (digestive organs)
This gentle hands-on abdominal therapy specifically releases structural relationships between the viscera, the internal organs especially in the abdomen, and their fascial or ligamentous attachments to the musculoskeletal system. Visceral manual therapy of the digestive organs can be very beneficial for the treatment of digestive disorders, bloating and constipation, nausea and acid reflux.
There are different approaches to Somatic Bodywork. My focus is to work with trauma recovery and suppressed emotions that are stored in the cellular memory of the body by bringing awareness and presence to areas of the body that are blocked.
With the use of specific breaths, gentle touch, verbal cues and profound deep listening, the client gradually moves through difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions with more ease.
The discharge process that was halted years before can be completed, and equilibrium and health are restored.
Enjoy a light touch therapy that works with the cranium, spine, sacrum and the cerebral spinal fluid to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. CranioSacral is very helpful in relieving migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, stress and tension. Though very gentle, CranioSacral therapy will take you to profound levels of peace and relaxation.
Here is an excellent approach for improving balance and coordination of muscular function. Neuromuscular Reprogramming works with the motor control center of the brain by using muscle testing to locate and then reprogram biomechanical dysfunctions that inhibit the conversation between the brain and the muscles. NeuroMuscular Programming is especially beneficial for athletes and those who are physically active.
